A two-part 2020 Beaverbrook Annual Public Lecture on responding to surveillance capitalism, hosted online by the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy. Shoshana Zuboff, author of The Age of Surveillance Capitalism, delivered “The Future of Surveillance Capitalism” on November 23, with a Q&A moderated by Jonathan Sterne. Cory Doctorow delivered “How to Destroy Surveillance Capitalism” on November 30, moderated by Gabriella Coleman. Both lectures were free, open to the public, and generously supported by the Beaverbrook Foundation.
